11 – 27 September 2020
Earlier this year, we signed up for Keep Britain Tidy’s ‘Great British Spring Clean’ campaign, which was due to take place from 20 March – 13 April.
Following postponement, due to COVID-19, the event is back as The Great British September Clean and the Council are keen to support residents to get involved.
The Great British September Clean has a simple aim: to bring people across the country together to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and beaches. Keep Britain Tidy want to inspire people to get outdoors, get active and help clear up the rubbish that lies around us. Together we can make a difference and clean up the environment on our doorstep.
You can support the Great British September Clean by:
- Organising a private group clean-up with up to five family and friends
- Pledging to do your own individual litter-pick
- Making some noise about the campaign using your social media account
To support residents to take part, the Council will supply the equipment required to undertake a litter pick including litter pickers, hi vis jackets, bin bags and gloves. Please get in touch on 01277 312500 to make arrangements.
